The digital toolkit and reopening guidelines and checklists below will give business owners what they need to reopen as State Orders change. Updated March 3 -  Newsom’s 7.6 Billion Dollar Bill for Coronavirus Support Enables New Round of COVID Recovery Grants. 

  • The new bill signed on February 23rd was designed to cover the gaps the Federal relief has left. Governor Gavin Newsom’s package included a $2,075,000,000 set aside for businesses, with $50,000,000 of those funds being dedicated for eligible nonprofit cultural institutions.  To apply or get more information, visit https://careliefgrant.com/.

Updated January 25 -  California Public Health Officials Lift Regional Stay at Home Order for All Regions​

Updated January 25 -  Governor Newsom, Legislative Leaders Issue Statement on Eviction Moratorium Extension​.

  • Governor Gavin Newsom, Senate President pro Tempore Toni Atkins and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon today issued a joint statement on the extension of the eviction moratorium to protect Californians impacted by COVID-19​. Click here for details.

  • ​The program includes $15 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by the Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Assistance. Click here for details.


Updated January 8 - SBA and Treasury Announce PPP Re-Opening; New Guidance​.

  • The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in consultation with the Treasury Department, announced today that the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will re-open the week of January 11 for new borrowers and certain existing PPP borrowers. ​Click for more details.

Updated January 5 - San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors Announce County ICU Capacity at 175 Percent; Regional Stay at Home Order to Remain in Effect.

  • Dr. Maggie Park, San Joaquin County Public Health Officer, told the Board of Supervisors this morning that the County remains under State-mandated COVID-19 restrictions that likely will stay in effect indefinitely or until ICU capacity improves. ​See the press release here​.

  • As of 1/4/2021, due to high demands for COVID-19 tests, testing laboratories are experiencing extended turnaround times of at least 5 to 7 business days. The vendors have informed them that they are doing everything possible to expedite a timely solution. See testing sites here.

Updated December 3 - Governor Newsom Announces Regional Stay at Home Order Triggered by ICU Capacity​.

  • Regional Stay at Home Order takes effect Saturday; affects regions with less than 15 percent ICU availability. Once triggered, Stay at Home Orders will require Californians to stay at home as much as possible, close operations for certain sectors and require 100 percent masking and physical distancing. See press release.​

Updated November 30 - Governor Newsom Announces Immediate Assistance for Businesses Impacted by COVID-19 Including Temporary Tax Relief and $500 Million in Grants​​.

  • ​​SACRAMENTO – As the federal government fails to provide additional financial stimulus support to main street businesses, Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that California will provide temporary tax relief for eligible businesses impacted by COVID-19 restrictions. An additional $12.5 million added to the California Rebuilding Fund launched last week​.  ​
