Manteca Traffic Calming Program
Traffic calming involves the combination of mainly physical measures that reduce the negative effects of motor vehicle use, alter driver behavior and improve conditions for pedestrians, bicyclists and other non-drivers.
The purpose and goal of the new Manteca Traffic Calming Program (MTCP) is to preserve and improve the safety of residents within neighborhoods by reducing traffic volumes and speeds using enforcement and traffic calming measures.
