City Of MantecaThe City of Manteca, located in San Joaquin County, is at the heart Northern California's Central Valley. It is often referred to as the Crossroads of California, lying just 76 miles east of San Francisco, 60 Miles south of Sacramento, and 90 Miles West of Yosemite National Park. As of May 2018, the population was estimated at approximately 81,345, growing almost 2.4 % since 2017.  The City's size is 21 square miles and housing development is growing rapidly. It is truly a great place to live, work, and locate a business.​

Manteca Transit
 Manteca Transit operates fixed route and Dial-a-Ride bus service throughout Manteca with stops at key locations throughout the City. Fixed route service is defined as transit passenger service in which vehicles operate along an established path and make stops to pick up and drop off passengers at preset times. Manteca Transit operates three fixed routes within the Manteca City limits. Manteca Transit Dial-a-Ride service is a origin to destination transportation service for individuals with a certified disability, seniors, age 62 and older, and Medicare participants.  Click here for more information.

Manteca Crossroads Street Faire
The Manteca Crossroads Street Faire is one of the largest fairs in the region and voted among the best events to attend in Northern California. It attracts over 30,000 people every year to celebrate with food, music, vendors, and activities. For over 22 years, the Faire has helped bring the community together in a massive celebration, which in addition to serving our residents and guests, helps generate thousands of dollars in revenue for the City and local businesses.

Big League Dreams Sports Parks
If you've ever dreamed of playing in a big league ballpark, Big League Dreams Sports Parks are the place for you. The playing fields are built as scaled-down replicas of famous ballparks such as Boston's Fenway Park, New York's Yankee Stadium and Chicago's Wrigley Field. All are designed to accommodate youth baseball, youth fast pitch softball, and adult slow pitch softball.

Great Wolf Lodge
The Great Wolf Lodge is a 500-room family resort is being built on a 29-acre lot along the western end of Daniels Street, next to Costco and adjacent to the Big League Dreams Sports Park off Highway 120. The resort will feature a 95,000-square-foot indoor water park, a 45,000-square-foot family entertainment center and several dining options among other amenities. The pools are all heated and feature an assortment of body slides, tube slides, raft rides and splash areas. The entertainment center, called the Great Wolf Adventure Park, will have a multi-level ropes course, miniature golf course, video arcade and MagiQuest – Great Wolf Lodge’s signature live-action adventure game.

The Promenade Shops
The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley in an ideal market to flourish. In 2008, Phase I opened with the first Bass Pro Shops in Northern California along with the AMC Showplace Manteca 16 Theatre. Other anchor tenants followed including JC Penney, Hampton Inn, and Red Robin. Phase II of the development encompasses mix specialty stores along with restaurants and fast casual dining. It is a dynamic project that offers value oriented, brand name shopping combined with great dining and entertainment.

Parking Citation Payment Options
The City recognizes and understands that it is never pleasant to receive a parking citation. The City offers Pay by Mail, Pay by Phone, Pay Online and Payment Plan Options (California State Legislature AB 503, AB 2544 “indigent”). Citations are not dismissed because of claims of no signage in front of the location, inability to pay the citation amount, lack of knowledge of the program due to visiting or other reasons.  Click here for more information.

The City of Manteca Parks Recreation Department serves thousands of individuals, including toddlers, youth, teens and adults throughout the greater Manteca area. We strive to offer programs and services that foster health, wellness and human development, strengthen families and provide recreational opportunities for individuals for the purpose of positively affecting the quality of life for all involved.
