Public Transit Essential Travel Activities

Due to the order issued by the San Joaquin County Public Health Officer and Director of Emergency Services, dated April 14, 2020: People must use public transit only to perform essential activities.

What Are Essential Travel Activities?

  • Any travel related to the provision of or access to Essential Activities or Essential Government Functions
  • Travel to care for the elderly, minors, dependents, persons with disabilities, or other vulnerable persons
  • Travel to or from educational institutions for purposes of receiving material for distance learning, for receiving meals, and any other related services
  • Travel to return to a place of residence from outs ide the jurisdiction
  • Travel required by law enforcement or court order
  • Travel required for non-residents to return to their place of residence outside the County. Individuals are strongly encouraged to verify that their transportation out of the· County remains available and functional prior to commencing such travel.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal
Federal Fiscal Years 2021-2023

In accordance with 49 CFR Part 26.45(g), the City of Manteca (City), a recipient of U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) assistance, announces a proposed Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 2.4% for the triennial period October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2023. This race-neutral goal represents the percentage of work anticipated to be performed by certified DBE firms on the City’s FTA-assisted projects during the triennial period.

The City will be hosting a webinar for public participation on
Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

To participate in the webinar and/or to receive a copy of the proposed methodology, please contact Nicole Chang at nchang@gcapservices.com. The City and USDOT will accept comments on this proposed goal until July 13, 2020.
