Beginning September 1, 2008 it became illegal for California residents to discard their used "sharps" in the trash. So, if you are a diabetic or need to inject other medicines on a regular basis, you can NO longer throw your needles away. The City of Manteca provides FREE disposal containers to those who want them. You can pick them up at the City of Manteca Solid Waste Division located at 210 E. Wetmore Street
anytime Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:3Oam - 3:OOpm. Once your container is full, you must return it to the Solid Waste Office for disposal. You may then get another container, for free. Please call 239-8169 for more information.
Recycle Your used Oil Filters
You can now recycle your used oil filters anytime (24/7). A bright yellow oil filter recycling receptacle is located in the parking lot of the City of manteca Solid Waste Division, 210 E. Wetmore Street. Place your used oil filter in the receptacle and it will be recycled.
