We focus on customer service and satisfaction.
ANNUAL LEAF-COLLECTION PROGRAM:
The City of Manteca will begin its annual leaf collection program on December 2. This program will continue through mid-January 2014.
The city’s street sweepers will be collecting the leaves on regular street sweeping days, which occur every other week in residential areas. Residents can determine which day their area is swept by accessing the map located here: http://www.ci.manteca.ca.us/pwt/stdiv/streetswp.pdf. All residents who wish to participate are requested to place leaves only in loose piles in the street. Leaves should be at least 1 foot out from the curb/gutter. Please make sure leaves do not clog the gutter or block the flow of rainwater. Leaves bagged in plastic will not be picked up. Residents with smaller quantities of leaves are encouraged to place the leaves in their yard waste (green Toter) for collection. All other garden trimmings such as grass clippings and tree prunings are not included in the leaf collection program. Please place these items in the yard waste collection bin (green Toter) or compost them in your backyard.
Anyone with questions should contact Facilities Maintenance Superintendent Dave Frank at 456-8416, or by using this link: http://user.govoutreach.com/manteca/support.php and selecting Streets/Other (Streets) as the topic.
Public Works divisions:
The Building Maintenance Division provides maintenance, construction, and janitorial services for City facilities.
The primary function of the Engineering Division is to promote the orderly development of the City of Manteca by providing general engineering services to regulate the construction of municipal structures, city streets, sewage disposal, water supply and storm drainage facilities. Through regulation, the goal is to provide a high standard of construction quality and to preserve and protect public health, safety, and convenience.
The Sewer Division has three major functions:
The Solid Waste Division consists of 30 employees all dedicated to serving the needs of this ever-growing community. The Division works as a TEAM devoted to ensuring that the City's demands are met effectively and that customer service is a top priority.
The Streets Division maintains the public storm drainage system, installs curbs, gutters, sidewalks, performs minor road repairs and paving, installs roadway striping, and is responsible for city street signs.
The Vehicle Maintenance Division provides vehicle maintenance and repairs for all City departments.
The Water Division maintains, operates and samples the City's water system. Its main goal is to provide the public with safe drinking water.
