City of Manteca Solar Power Plant |
|
The City of Manteca's solar power generation plant is located at the Public Works Corporation Yard on Wetmore Street.
The primary goal of the plant is to reduce dependence on grid power. The power grid at this location suffers from a lack of adequate power during peak demand periods.
Additionally, when the power plant generates more energy than is being consumed, the excess energy is routed into the PG&E system and essentially "runs the meter backwards," crediting the City for excess energy produced.
The charts below provide detailed information about the solar power plant's energy production.

The symbols
for individual devices show a few measured values. |
|
"Pac" = Alternating current power being produced by each of the three inverters in real time. "E-total" = Alternating current power produced since the system was turned on. Multiply "E-total" by $0.17 to calculate the money saved. |
