Mark Houghton, Public Works Director
Pavement Maintenance Program (PMP)

What type of work will be done as part of the Pavement Maintenance Program?
Microsurfacing will be applied to your street. This surface treatment prolongs the life of the asphalt by stopping erosion from water and oxidation from the sun. Timely preventative maintenance like this helps avoid very costly street rebuilding in the future.

When will the work be done?
Due to the number of streets scheduled, we cannot tell you the exact time your street will be done. However, advance signage will be placed on the streets prior to the work being performed in order to give advance warning.

What time will the work be performed?
Work will be performed on the day posted on the sign from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Parking and driving on the street will be prohibited on that day between this time.

What if I leave my car on the street on the day of the work between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM?
Parked cars will be towed at the owner’s expense. To retrieve a towed vehicle call Manteca Police at 209-456-8101.

Can people or animals walk on the asphalt after treatment?
Freshly placed asphalt materials are difficult to remove and can be harmful if ingested. Please do not allow people or pets on newly surfaced streets before 5:00 PM or until the street dry and reopened.

Can I run my sprinklers or outside water during that time?
Do not permit water to run in the gutters during this period.

Can I get updates on the schedule and work performed?
