General Plan Update - Visioning Workshop No. 2
The City will be hosting a Visioning Workshop on Thursday, April 6, 6:30 p.m. at the Manteca Transit Center to provide the community with an opportunity to comment on the vision for the City's future. All residents, businesspersons, and interested parties are encouraged to attend!

IMPORTANT: Utility Bill Payment Mailing Address Changes
The City of Manteca has implemented a lockbox deposit service for all mailed in utility payments. Effective immediately, please mail all payments to: CITY OF MANTECA, PO BOX 398637, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94139-8637.   Please do not staple or tape your checks to your payment coupon. Doing so may cause a processing delay for your payment. Please ensure that each check sent comes with the original payment coupon for accurate processing. Checks sent without a payment coupon or copies of the payment coupon may experience a delay in payment processing.

Community Shred-It Event - Saturday April 22, 2017 8am-Noon
Solid Waste is hosting a Shred-It event on Saturday April 22, 2017 at the Corporation Yard located at 210 E. Wetmore Street from 8am-Noon.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal
Manteca Transit, in accordance with Department of Transportation DBE regulations 49 CFR Part 26.45, adopts a triennial Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal to apply in Manteca Transit awarded contracts funded with federal grants. For Federal Fiscal Year 2015 through 2017, Manteca Transit adopted a goal of 12% with a Race Neutral/Race Conscious split of 100%/0%, as a result of completing the required goal setting methodology. This goal was approved by the Federal Transit Administration on May 28, 2015 and is valid through September 30, 2017. If you have any questions regarding Manteca Transit’s DBE goal, please contact Georgia Lantsberger, Project Analyst at (209) 456-8775.

March 31, 2017, 6-9:30 PM - Glitz and Glamour Event
Ladies, gather your friends, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, and neighbors for this fun-filled Girls' Night Out! There will be over 30 vendors offering products, pampering, and activities. Admission is free and hourly raffles available.

April 8, 2017, 9:00 am - Breakfast with the Bunny!
Bring your children ages 10 and under to this festive breakfast! $7.00 per person includes breakfast, face-painting, craft project, and egg hunt! Tickets can be purchased at the Manteca Senior Center only beginning March 1st (cash or check only).

New Fire And Police Chief Appointments
Acting City Manager Greg Showerman is pleased to announce the appointment of Jodie Estarziau as the new Police Chief and Kyle Shipherd as the new Fire Chief. Both Jodie and Kyle have outstanding ability, and their longevity within their departments with the City of Manteca will be invaluable.

Manteca Dolphins Swim Team
Swimmers age 4-18 are welcome to come and try out for the Manteca Dolphins Swim Team! This competitive program runs April through July. Click on the flyer for more information!

May 20, 2017 - USS Hornet
Take a step into history and explore what the USS Hornet has to offer. With a docent-led tour, there is something for the entire family to enjoy. Trip includes lunch and free time after lunch to explore on your own. Cost is $55.00 per person.

May 23, 2017 - Red Hawk Casino
Includes round-trip transportation from Manteca Senior Center to Red Hawk Casino. Cost is $25.00 per person. Must be 21 years or older and bring valid I.D.

July 27, 2017 - American Trailer Park Musical, Sonora, CA
Includes round-trip transportation from Manteca Senior Center to Sonora and show ticket. No host lunch in downtown Sonora. Cost is $55/per person.

August 26, 2017 - Chinatown Food Walking Tour, S.F.
Includes round-trip transportation from Manteca Senior Center to San Francisco; experience Chinatown with a local guide. Enjoy tastes from a local restaurant, bakery, and tea shop. Cost is $53.00 per person.

British Landscape - September 5-14, 2017

POLICE PRESS RELEASES

DUI Enforcement for St. Patrick's Day and Weekend
Manteca Police Department is deploying additional officers on 03/17/17 for special DUI saturation patrols with continued enforcement through the weekend.

Bank Robbery Arrest
On 03/13/17 Manteca Police responded to a robbery in progress at Wells Fargo Bank. The suspect fled from the bank when officers were already on scene. The officers chased after the suspect and apprehended him in the backyard of a nearby residence.
