Manteca, Ca On 4/17/12 at about 1300hrs, the Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit conducted a probation search on the 300 block of N. Lincoln Av. A major steroid manufacture and distribution operation was located.
Nine Year Old Struck By Vehicle
Today at approximately 1108 hours, Manteca PD Officers responded to the 400 block of Cherry Ln. regarding a 9 year old male, who was struck by a Toyota SUV.

Vehicle Pursuit:
On 2/08/2012 at approximately 2:00am, A Manteca Police patrol officer attempted to make a traffic stop of a blue Volkswagen Passat, near SR120 and South Airport Way. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit began.
Radioactive Device stolen from a vehicle:
Police were advised that one of the items taken in the vehicle burglary was a NUCLEAR DENSOMETER. This Nuclear Densometer (Nuclear Surface Gauge) is radioactive; however, the device does not pose a danger, as it is.
4 Arrested
On 1/30/2012 at 1500 hours, Manteca Police Department was investigating the theft of an I-Phone. The I-Phone had a GPS program and it indicated that it was located at 11225 S. Hwy 99 Frontage RD, near the golf course.
Arrest of Robbery Suspect
Today (1/6/2011) at 10:46a.m., Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit was on proactive patrol, when they saw a subject meeting the description of the suspect in this case.
Pursuit and Arrest of Burglary Suspects:
On 12/12/2011 at 1:55pm, the Manteca Police Department was dispatched to the 1600 block of Snapdragon Way in regards to an interrupted residential burglary. The suspect vehicle was described as a white 1990’s Lexus 4-door.

On 12/7/11 and 12/8/11, Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit (SCU Detectives) assisted in a two day operation coordinated by the San Joaquin Sheriff's Dept.
December 6, 2011 - Felon in Possession of Firearm
On 12/6/2011, Manteca Police Department Street Crimes Unit and State Parole contacted a subject on the 200 block of S. Lincoln who was on parole. During a parole search, the subject was found to be in possession of a loaded, sawed-off rifle.

12/5/2011, at approximately 2240 hours, A Manteca Police Officer observed a suspicious vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Alameda Street. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

December 1, 2011 - Attempted Child Abduction
An elementary age student was walking to Joshua Cowell School. A white van, driven by a Hispanic male adult, drove up next to the juvenile and told him to get into the van. He told the juvenile that it was his job to pick kids up and take them to school.

On 11/3/11, at about 3:00pm, Manteca Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit (SCU) and State Parole began an investigation in the 1800 block of Arlington Ct. based on information from concerned citizens in the area.
November 3, 2011 - Halloween Night Homicide Investigation
0n 10/31/2011, at approximately 6:13pm, Manteca Police were called to a residence in the 800 Block of Golden Pond Dr to conduct a welfare check on a female resident. They arrived and found a female victim, in her 50’s, deceased inside the home.

The Holiday season will begin early in Manteca this year as the City will be host of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. Manteca will be one of the first stops and one of just several California cities to display the tree on its way to the U.S. Capitol.
