Chaplains Manteca's first police chaplain was appointed July 1, 2002. The number of police chaplains grew to 3 in 2006. Our chaplains are all volunteers and each is a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains (I.C.P.C.) located in Destin, Florida. Each Chaplain is a professionally trained minister and each has received specialized training to be certified as a police chaplain. Our Chaplains bring varieties of expertise and experiences into the job and each has a heart to serve not only our police personnel but our citizens as well. Chaplains are assigned a liaison and assistant officer to monitor chaplain activities, oversee scheduling and to assist in the establishment of policies and procedures for the chaplains. What do Chaplains do?
