Investigations

Fire arson investigationThe Manteca Police Department’s Investigations Unit falls under the auspices of the Services Division. It is comprised of two units: the Detective Unit and the MCOPS Unit. Each of these specialized units is supervised by a sergeant and comprised of highly trained and experienced investigators.

The Detective Unit is responsible for the follow-up work on most felonious crimes including fraud, forgery, robbery, burglary, arson, child abuse and sexual assault. The unit has six full-time investigators, one sergeant, one crime analyst and a Community Service Officer.

The MCOPS Unit is responsible for all narcotics investigations and ongoing chronic offenses. The unit is comprised of four full-time investigators and a Sergeant.
