Before-School - After-School - KinderZone Programs

What is Kids' Zone?

The Manteca Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with Manteca Unified School District, offers state-licensed, before-school, KinderZone, and after-school programs for children in Kindergarten through 7th grade. Kids' Zone operates throughout the school year, Monday through Friday, on school days only. The mission of the Kids' Zone program is to enrich the lives of children by providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment. These programs promote the social, physical, and intellectual development of children.

Registration for all programs and payment of fees will be accepted only at the Parks and Recreation Department, not at school sites. Parents need to complete an annual (school year) registration application and pay the annual membership fee of $15 per child prior to a child attending the program. Non-residents add $10 to the annual fee, but not to the program participation fees.

Kids' Zone employees are required to meet the following qualifications:

Dept. of Justice fingerprint clearance

T.B. test clearance

CPR and First-Aid certified

Monthly professional growth trainings and workshops

California School-Age Consortium (Cal-SAC) professional growth training.
