Events/Street Closures, etc.
A number of times by order of the City Council streets in Manteca are closed to allow for community events and activities to take place. The process to close a city street can be obtained from the City Clerks Office. Here are few of the dates and times that streets are closed on an annual basis in Manteca. Crossroads Street Faire April 5th and 6th, 2003
The following streets are closed for the Annual Cross Roads Street Faire. Yosemite from Main to the UP railroad tracks. Maple Street, Sycamore Ave., Manteca St., Popular Street and all the alley ways to the north of Yosemite to Center. 4th of July
This is a large parade and takes place on Main St. from Louise to Center St., then from Center to Library Park. A number of side streets are affected by the street closures, however there a number of SHARP and Citizen Police Academy volunteers around to help you navigate the parade.
1st Tuesday of August
National Night Out block parties. These parties take place in residential neighborhoods throughout the City of Manteca. In past years we have had up to 50 different parties that requested their street closed for the party. Each of these is evaluated to make sure alternative routes are available for those not participating. On this day we encourage all motorists to take extra caution
Pumpkin Festival, 1st weekend of October
This is a two day festival and the roads in the area closed are. Yosemite from Main to the UP railroad tracks. Maple Street, Sycamore Ave., Manteca St., Popular Street and all the alley ways to the north of Yosemite to Center
Manteca Winter Parade, 1st Saturday of December
This is an evening parade held on Yosemite Ave. The roads affected are Yosemite, Oak St., Garfield and Moffat Blvd. This parade is in the evening and it is dark so extra caution is advised.
