City Manager's Blog

Steve Pinkerton has been the City Manager of Manteca since June 16, 2008. He served as Redevelopment Director for the City of Stockton, California from 1994 to 2008. He has also worked for the cities of Long Beach and Redondo Beach. Born in Wisconsin, Mr. Pinkerton has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and and a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Southern California, and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Geography from the University of Missouri.

New Phone System

In these tough economic times, any expenditure of city resources is justifiably questioned by the City Council, the public and our employees. The best type of expenditure is one that saves current and future dollars. Last City Council meeting, the purchase of a new phone system was approved that will not only save funds, but increase productivity and improve customer service.
