The City of
Manteca Parks & Recreation Department serves thousands of individuals
which include infants, youth, teens and adults throughout the greater
Manteca area. We strive to offer programs and services that foster
health, wellness and human development, strengthen families and provide recreational opportunities for individuals for the purpose of positively
affecting the quality of life for all involved.
The Department oversees over 300 acres of Neighborhood and Community
Parks, Tidewater Bike Way, Skate Park and the Senior Center. We also supervise
the operations of the 18 Hole Municipal Golf Course, and
Library services.

MISSION
The primary mission of the City of Manteca Parks
and Recreation Department is to plan, acquire, develop and maintain parks, recreational,
cultural and educational facilities; conserve them for future generations' and to
administer quality public recreational, human services, cultural and educational programs
that will serve the needs of the residents in the Manteca area; to facilitate and serve as
a catalyst for private, non-profit and quasi public provision of facilities and/or
services.
