07-21-16 Press Release - West Nile Virus Activity High
In recent weeks, the San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District’s surveillance and disease testing laboratory has seen some of the highest concentration of West Nile virus in mosquito samples since the discovery of the virus in 2004. Residents should take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

Press Release - Kyle Shipherd Named as Interim Fire Chief
July 15, 2016 – Kyle Shipherd has been appointed as Manteca’s Interim Fire Chief, effective July 22nd. Shipherd has been with the Manteca Fire Department for 19 years and has served in all ranks. Prior to coming to the City of Manteca, he worked eight years as a Firefighter in Ripon.

Enjoy a variety show and an evening of dancing to the tunes of the "Second Chance Band." Tickets go on sale Monday, July 11, 2016. Cost: Seniors (ages 50+) $5.00; Adults $7.00; Children (ages 10-17) $5.00. No Host Snack Bar and Alcohol (must be 21 yrs +) and non-alcoholic beverages available.

As of April 14, 2016, The City will be enforcing the new regulation that does not allow individuals to irrigate outdoors during and within 48 hours following measurable rainfall (at a minimum any amount of rainfall that generates run-off or puddles). The City will be utilizing the administrative code relating to penalties
